The 30 quilts that have been made over the last year for Lutheran World Relief were blessed on Sunday, October 16th. They will be packed up and taken to the yearly In-Gathering held at Messiah Lutheran Church where they will be packed in a semi-truck to be taken to Minnesota to the LWR warehouse. There they will be unpacked, re-bundled and shipped around the world to wherever the need exists. The health care kits made during God's Work, Our Hands will also be taken to Messiah. The quilters meet on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 12:30 for anyone who wants to join helping tie the quilts together-no sewing skills needed. See Denise Nelson or Susan Tjosvold if you are interested in sewing together quilt tops at home. Everyone can help by donating sheets and any type of fabrics.
